Repairs to the Gorse Ride (above) which was overgrown and neglected. All of the improvements (apart from the ride itself) are out of sight of the public

The big enemy has been the weather, because just about everything has to stop when the land is waterlogged. This picture shows an area that is drying out after 3 weeks without rain. Not even a tractor can move when it is at its worst.

12 tons of irresistible force makes light work of the heaviest job, but heavy machinery is used only when there are no practical alternatives, and it can only be used in open areas - other jobs rely on muscle and volunteers!
