The planning situation

The Woodland lies just within the boundaries of the North Yorks National Park, and any necessary planning consents need to be obtained from the North Yorks National Park Authority.

The Woodland Project itself does not need planning consent.

We applied for planning permission, for the caravans, repairs to the access track, containers etc in August 2004.

We received a reply, stating that further information was needed. This was supplied in early October.

In November 2004 the chief planning officer delegated the planning decision to herself and rejected our application.
